Remember:  Ribbon, string and tinsel (icicles) are dangers to cats as when cats start chewing on them, the cats cannot spit them out so wind up swallowing the whole length.  This can led to a blockage or cutting of the intestines!  Keep all ribbon, string and other string like items away from cats.

Lilies are toxic to cats. Cats can die from kidney damage after eating even a small amount of a lily. Keep all lilies out the house! Don't put them on a high shelf- keep them out of the house!

New Theme Colors
« on: October 03, 2008, 02:37:06 AM »

I changed the colors on some themes to make them look nicer.  :catwacko:

Have a look at the new Lilac and Winter Blue.

I will be working on some of the others. I won't be changing the Default color.

Well, I just spent about 10 minutes trying to find the "color scheme" area of my profile so I could tell you but I don't know where it is!!!!!  It's green in appearance though - a soft green, not dark.  I find it easier on the eyes.

Also, since I have your attention..... for some reason I my automaticly filled in password doesn't work..... I want to change it but I don't know the "current password" that doesn't work in order to correct it.  Do you have access to that and if so, could you e-mail me the incorrect password please????

To change the color in your profile, click on "Look and Layout Preferences". But to check out the different colors, just use the drop down menu on the top right.  I think you must be using the Olive color.

Regarding your password, haven"t you been using it to login? How did you wind up logged in to make you last post?

I can't see anyone's password. If you forgot your password, on the login screen, click on the words, "Forgot your password" under the space where one types in the password.

 Margaret--I like both the new colors, but I changed from olive to the dark theme blue...for a change.  I'll probably end up using each of them at one time or another...depending on my mood.  Vicki

If you are in the mood for some flowers, see the new Floral Green.  I changed the old Shiny Green.

I do that too. The new Floral Green is pretty and soft for the spring. I was getting tired of all those bold, dark kind of colors.

That's pretty, Margaret.  Hadn't noticed it before.  I'll try it in the springtime.  Vicki

Whenever I log in, I have to re-type my password.....the one that "automatically pops up" is the incorrect password but it won't let me change my profile info without using the incorrect password.

I actually tried to change my password but I have to type in the current (incorrect and unknown to me) password for it to take effect.  Oh well... guess I'll just have to keep typing in my password...

Oddly enough, the password I have typed in from HOME on my HOME computer works fine.... apparently it's something in my computer here at work..... hm.... I just thought of that!!!!  I wonder if I need to delete my cookies to clear it????

Trying to find the new colors and I'm not seeing the drop down menu..... I'll have to look harder when I have more time.  I'm interested in what the floral one might look like.....

Michelle, the wrong password popping up has absolutely nothing to do with this forum or your real password on this forum.

What is happening is that your internet browser has a feature called "AutoComplete" to save passwords you typed in, and to then fill them in automatically.  At one time, you mistyped your password, and when your browser on your computer popped up a message saying something such as "Do you want Internet Explorer to save the password?", you clicked on yes.  So then, from now on, every time you come to the forum, your computer browser looks in its files and then puts the password you told it to save.  But, it was a mistyped password that you saved, not the real one.

To correct the error, do nothing on this forum.  It is in your computer.  Yes, delete all cookies. One should delete cookies at least once a week. But go to the "Delete Passwords" section to get rid of stored passwords. It is on the same little page where you push the button to delete cookies.

In Internet Explorer
Go to the top browser menu and click on "Tools".
Then at the top of that new little menu page, click on "Delete Browsing History".
On the next little page, click on the button to "Delete Passwords".  This is not deleting the actual password on a forum or other website. It is only deleting a stored version on your computer.  The next time you go to the forum, or some other website that needs a password, you will need to type in your password again.

In Firefox browser
Go to the top browser menu and click on "Tools".
Then on the new little menu page, click on "Clear Private Data".
Click in the box that says "Saved Passwords", to make a check mark show up.  If a check mark is already there, then leave it and don't click in the box.
Finally, Click the button that says, "Clear Private Data Now".

If you are logged into the forum, you get to chose different colors for the forum.  You have to be logged in to see the drop down box.  It is how you got to be using the green color. You used that drop down box to choose the green color.  Everyone starts out the first time with the "default" color, which is a blue color.  If you are not logged in, you only see the blue color.

The drop down box to change the color is at the top of the page on the left.  There is button that says "Change Color".
