Remember:  Ribbon, string and tinsel (icicles) are dangers to cats as when cats start chewing on them, the cats cannot spit them out so wind up swallowing the whole length.  This can led to a blockage or cutting of the intestines!  Keep all ribbon, string and other string like items away from cats.

Lilies are toxic to cats. Cats can die from kidney damage after eating even a small amount of a lily. Keep all lilies out the house! Don't put them on a high shelf- keep them out of the house!

Update of server file 2/7/10
« on: February 07, 2010, 05:26:35 AM »

I updated some of the server files.  If anyone notices a problem, or something working better, let me know.

Ok.... I'm having an issue that may or may not be related to the server.  When I came to the page - my login information (user name and password) was not there anymore.  I had to type it all in again.  No big deal but I thought I should mention it.

The other problem was that when I clicked on the **Click here to show unread posts since last visit.**  link, instead took me to the login page - but it was as if I was logged out.  I had to back button back INTO the forum.  I did it several times with the same result.  It keeps taking me to the login screen, and my user name and password ARE remembered on THAT page.

Hi Michelle and Margaret;

Everything seems to be working fine now.  The sign on issue seems to have been resolved, and the "check new posts" feature worked for me this morning (which is how I found this post).

Some of the files were changed by the people who make this program (Simple Machines Forum) to give some sort of better security.  So I think everyone might have had to login again, even if previously the person selected to "always" stay logged in.  (I always delete all my browser cookies and active logins after finishing with the internet for the day, so I never am "always logged in".)

Regarding the red sentence saying **Click here to show unread posts since last visit.**, I fixed it.  That is link I made, but after the updates, the path to where you get to see the new messages was changed, but I didn't know that until you let me know, Michelle. So thanks.

So, I hope now all is well with everything.

I had to sign in today...and periodically in the past, I've had to as well.  Not sure what that is all about.

If you clean out your cookies on your computer, you would have to sign in again.

I always clean out my cookies and temporary internet files at the end of the day.  Too many cookies and temp internet files wind up junking up your computer after a while.

I just did that yesterday...I scan my computer weekly with Adaware, C cleaner, Super anti spy and Mcafee.  They remove cookies, temp. internet files and much much more.

So that is why you had to log in again.  The forum program can only know it is you if it first looks in your computer to find the forum's cookie. All forums put a cookie in the person's computer when the person goes to the forum.

It is good to scan one's computer to remove all the stuff you mentioned.

So, this all means that all is working as it is supposed to, at least in regards to log ins.

Good to know, Margaret.  Thanks. BTW, did you get my draft of the story about Chedar and Ivory's integration?

Yes, I did. I sent an email to you when I got it.

I am sorry for being slow about doing anything with it yet.  I will get moving on it.
