Remember:  Ribbon, string and tinsel (icicles) are dangers to cats as when cats start chewing on them, the cats cannot spit them out so wind up swallowing the whole length.  This can led to a blockage or cutting of the intestines!  Keep all ribbon, string and other string like items away from cats.

Lilies are toxic to cats. Cats can die from kidney damage after eating even a small amount of a lily. Keep all lilies out the house! Don't put them on a high shelf- keep them out of the house!

Natural Balance has recalled Venison & Brown Rice Dry Dog Food and Venison & Green Pea Dry Cat Food.  They are not sure what the problem is due to, but cats and dogs eating those foods have been vomiting and experiencing kidney problems.

If you have any of those foods in your home, STOP using them!  Note that is for the dry food.

Here is the notice from Natural Balance:

I personally feel it best to stop using all Natural Balance dry food at this time until they find out what the problem is.  As we know from the other recalls, more and more foods got added to the list after the initial list was made.

I also posted this in the "General Nutrition" section for discussion about it.

I actually took a "survey" at work to see what everyone else is feeding their cats so I can warn them when anything new comes up in this recall.... nobody I know feeds this (I have tried it in the past but it's been over a year now) so everybody I know is safe - for now.
