Eagle Pack / Holistic Select News

Well, I have more unpleasant news to add to this topic. The "size reduction" that the Holistic Select formulations has started to hit the regular Eagle Pack brands. When I went into town last night to buy cat food, the regular Eagle Pack adult bag size had dropped from 16.5 lbs to 12 lbs.

The only good thing about this is that the price dropped a few dollars, too. This keeps the overall price per pound the same. However, smaller bags mean more trips to the store.

I'm not sure if the formula has changed. The new bag states that the food has both chicken and fish meal in it. To the best of my knowledge, the old formula was chicken only.

Needless to say, I am not all the pleased by the newest changes. This may accelerate my switch to Healthwise dry.

Sadly, things like this often happen when owners sell the company to investment companies.
